Our Story
My name is Scott Nowak. I enjoy fishing, swimming, and snorkeling. I'm an Aquatic Nut, hence the Noquanut name. I have been fly fishing for about 15 years now. My wife Andrea joined me about 6 years ago and we have enjoyed it together ever since.
I started tying my own flies about 5 years ago and even sold some to a local fly/bait shop near Bennett Springs State Park, here in Missouri, for a few years.
In early 2023 I decided to start a YouTube channel dedicated to fly fishing and fly tying. In each fly tying video I show what materials to use for the fly and the process by which they are made, as well as the many variations that are sometimes possible. In the fly fishing videos I show the fly I am using and how well it works for me. I also share where we are fishing and whatever other details that may help another fly fishing enthusiast out there get tight lines!
Andrea is a talented artist and, with a little prodding, she has decided to join me in this business venture by utilizing her skills to create all kinds of art that might appeal to other folks who love to fly fish. Long term this may include everything from watercolor wall art, to note cards, or even jewelry. She likes to dabble in a variety of different types of art.
Together we hope to provide fellow fly fishing enthusiasts, such as yourself, a place where you can purchase flies to use on your next excursion, as well as some artistic creations to either keep or to gift to another who also loves fly fishing!
